Frequently Asked Questions

What is the onboarding process? How long does it take?

The first step on the onboarding process is filling in the registration form and sending your documents (passport, etc), training qualifications, and reference over to our recruitment team. Once these have been received and verified, you will be added to the company Rota Cloud, and one of our shift coordinatiors will be in touch about booking your first shift. This process will normally take 1 week.

If you require full or additional training, then our training team will grant you access to our online training system. There are a number of modules that can be completed at your own pace but we estimate that each module takes 30-45 minutes to complete. After online training completion, we will get you booked into one of our Face-to-Face training inductions, which takes 2 days to complete for Healthcare Assistants and 3 days for Senior Healthcare Assistants. After training is completed, you will start your first shift at your earliest convenience.

Can I work in more than one area?

Yes, we recruit and provide staff to healthcare institutions all across the country (please see the Healthcare Staffing page for exact locations), so our staff is able to work in whichever areas they wish. We also recruit travelling healthcare staff, who work all over the U.K, if this is something you are interested in, please contact our recruitment team for further information.

What's the difference between agency healthcare jobs UK and permanent roles?

Agency work gives you the flexibility to choose your own shifts with no fixed rota or long-term contract. You decide when and where you work, while still receiving the same training, support and benefits as our permanent team members.

How quickly can I start working after applying?

Once your compliance checks and registration are complete, most candidates are ready to start working within a week. Our streamlined process is designed to get you into flexible healthcare shifts as quickly as possible.

Do I need previous experience for agency healthcare work?

Most of our roles require a minimum of 6 months paid UK care experience, though requirements vary by role. Check the specific job page for the role you’re interested in for full details.

Our recruitment processes follow guidance from GOV.UK, ensuring ethical, transparent, and responsible hiring practices across all of our healthcare staffing services.

By working to these recognised standards, we ensure that every member of our healthcare agency is not only qualified and experienced, but also committed to delivering the highest level of care across every setting.
