How to Apply to be an Angel
Applying for one of our Healthcare Vacancies is quick and straightforward. Our recruitment team is here to guide you through the process and help you find the right healthcare opportunities in your area.
Start by completing the online application form on our website below. Once we receive your application, a member of our recruitment team will give you a call for a pre-screen conversation.
During this call, we will:

- Learn more about the type of shifts or roles you’re looking for
- Talk through opportunities available in your area
- Answer any questions you may have about working with Advantage Angels
This helps us ensure we place you in roles that suit your skills and preferences.
Should you be successful. The next step is to attend an interview and complete the required recruitment and compliance checks.
This stage includes:
- Interview with our recruitment team
- Completing onboarding and compliance documentation
- Verifying qualifications and Right to Work in the UK
- Preparing you to start working with Advantage Angels
Once everything is complete, you’ll officially become part of our community of Angels, ready to start making a difference in healthcare settings across the UK.
Once you’ve successfully passed your interview and compliance checks, you’ll officially become part of the Advantage Angels community. At this stage, our team will help prepare you to begin working. You’ll be introduced to your dedicated shift coordinator, who will support you in finding shifts that suit your availability, location, and experience.
You will also:
- Receive your Advantage Angels uniform
- Be guided through our shift booking process
- Get access to available shifts in your area
- Receive support from our office team whenever you need it

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the onboarding process? How long does it take?
The first step on the onboarding process is filling in the registration form and sending your documents (passport, etc), training qualifications, and reference over to our recruitment team. Once these have been received and verified, you will be added to the company Rota Cloud, and one of our shift coordinatiors will be in touch about booking your first shift. This process will normally take 1 week.
If you require full or additional training, then our training team will grant you access to our online training system. There are a number of modules that can be completed at your own pace but we estimate that each module takes 30-45 minutes to complete. After online training completion, we will get you booked into one of our Face-to-Face training inductions, which takes 2 days to complete for Healthcare Assistants and 3 days for Senior Healthcare Assistants. After training is completed, you will start your first shift at your earliest convenience.
